It's already been filmed, and it's already over and done with. And now you're watching it. And part of what you're watching is your own body! Your body is just a part of the same projection as all those other bodies you see.

The story of Genesis is the symbolic story of the making of the world and bodies by the unconscious mind for reasons you are not aware of, but which you must become aware of.

In a case like this, most Christians won't even bother to ask what Jesus would do. That's because the answer wouldn't match their feelings. As we've indicated before, the answer would always be the same — he'd forgive.

You want to think of that person as being unlimited. Instead of thinking of them as being part of it, you want to think of them as being all of it. If you do that, it will take you away from the focus of being an illusion and result in a highly positive outcome. It will work. It will save you lifetimes of effort.

You are much too tolerant of mind wandering, and are passively condoning your mind's miscreations.

Your job is to go back to the source of the problem — the mind and not the world — and change your mind through forgiveness.

You'll eventually have to realize that you can't spiritualize anything that is not spirit, which means you can't really spiritualize anything in the universe of form. The truly spiritual is only outside of it. That is where you really belong, and will eventually return.

As just one example of spiritualizing objects, you romanticize the South American rainforest by thinking it's one of the holiest spots on earth. If you could observe in accelerated motion what goes on underneath the ground there, you would see that the roots of the trees actually compete with each other for the water, just as all the creatures of the rainforest fight for survival.

The Disappearance of the Universe

Relating to you in your nocturnal dreams is one of the Holy Spirit's favorite ways of working with people. But sometimes His Voice may simply come to you in the form of an idea from another person that rings true for you.

God, Who is actually real, seems distant and illusory. The world, which is actually illusory, seems immediate and real. For reasons that will be described later, your split mind, which split from the house like the prodigal Son, has unconsciously assigned to God the same qualities that your seemingly separated mind itself possesses. Thus God and the messages that seem to come from Him are conflicted.

What is in front of your face is illusion, and God's Kingdom — which appears to be hidden — will be revealed to those who learn from the Holy Spirit the unique way of forgiving whatever is in front of them the way J did. Eventually you will be one with him, and there will be nothing left but your true joy in the Kingdom of Heaven.

remember that if God is perfect Love, then He is not

You made it all up, and you got what you wanted for a reason.

if God is Love, can He also be hate? If God is really perfect Love, then can He also be flawed? If God is a Creator, could He then be vengeful against that which He Himself had created? Once the answer to such questions is clearly seen to be of course not, a long closed door has been nudged open. In the state of semi-dualism, your mind has begun to lose some of its hidden but terrible fear of God.

You still think of yourself as a body, and both God and the world still seem to be outside of you, but now you sense that God is not the cause of your situation. Perhaps the one person who was always there when things appeared to be going down the toilet was you. Perfect Love can only be responsible for good. So everything else must come from somewhere else. But, as we will see in our next attitude of learning, there is nowhere else.

what the Course is teaching is that you can undo the ego that's in your mind, have the Holy Spirit heal all of your unconscious guilt, and be free. The fastest way to do that is to change the way you look at other people, events, and situations. It also teaches you how to do that.

It's a done deal; you couldn't screw it up if you tried.

Remember, the truth is not in the dream, but it can be heard in the dream.
