A person who fails to learn correct language skills is forever handicapped in seeking employment.

McWhorter claims that low black educational achievements are not the result of racism but of an attitude within the black community that academic achievement is a white thing and that blacks must reject such efforts in order to stay culturally black.

Current black leaders preach racial hatred and welfare dependency, not peace and independence. They earn their fat salaries by stirring up the racial pot and portraying blacks as the hopeless victims of racism.

Blacks must learn that true freedom from poverty is available only through hard work and perseverance, not through affirmative action programs, protesting, or blind allegiance to the Democratic party.

The key to the future for blacks is a commitment to America and its ideals of freedom, personal responsibility, the free enterprise system, and moral principles.
