As long as I can find hope in myself, there is hope for the future of the earth and the human race. If I fail to discover hope in myself, there is no hope for the earth or the human race. If I discover the goodness of human nature in myself, I can find it in the entire human race. If I fail to discover it in myself, I can't expect it from anyone else, either.

I believe the key to solving everything from individual problems to the global environmental crisis or political and religious conflicts is to be found in restoring this link with the great life force. By recovering our natural healing ability and the goodness of human nature, we can create a truly peaceful, sustainable world. And I don't believe that these are things that social institutions or prestigious experts can do for us: they must happen within each and every one of us.

In this tale of Mago Castle, I found the part about the Vow of Restoration deeply moving, for it shows us what human beings-deep down inside- really want to become and where they want to return. Humans are fundamentally spiritual being. That is why they ceaselessly thirst for divinity and seek to become one with it.

Humanity is part of the cosmic family. All creation is within heaven and earth, but humanity has been given the added responsibility of protecting and caring for our cosmic parents. Humanity suffers when we destroy heaven and earth. Only when we show respect and courtesy toward our cosmic parents can we truly walk the path of the Tao.

Through breathing in and breathing out, we drink in Heaven; through food, we eat the Earth. These beings who stand magnificently between Heaven and Earth, endlessly creating, are humans.

Overcoming the problems we face today and planting the seed of peace is not a task for any one nation, people, or religion. This will be possible only when spiritually awakened people from every corner of the world share the power of a single vision and create an alliance of Earth-Humans.

Each of us is a great life and great soul. When the one holy thought to do something widely beneficial to the world comes out, we need to have the eyes to perceive it, the courage to accept and choose it, and the will to put into action. In the process of cherishing that one thought and pouring all our devotion into it, we can create true change in the lives of ourselves and humanity

You and I are the creators and benefactors of peace. We must reclaim our own responsibility and right to peace. You have the power to change the direction of humanity towards peace.

A tree is a tree, the Earth, and the Universe. It is you, it is me, and it is all of humanity.

In a fundamental sense, Earth and the community of human beings comprise the most basic environment in which we, as humanity, share as we try to nurture the seed of the soul. Therefore, healing, in its most fundamental and largest sense, is healing of the Earth and humanity.
