One of the reasons people fail to trust God and seek His plan for their lives is because they become too wrapped up in their own desires, thoughts, and dreams for the future. You see, your loving Savior isn't just the God of today—He also reigns over tomorrow. And when you follow Him, He ensures that your future is bright and hopeful (Jeremiah 29:11). Listen to Him.

Friend, God's will is not something that you can find through trial and error. Rather, you discover it through your intimate relationship with Him—through prayer and Bible study as you strive to know Him better. If you have been on a quest to "find God" or "track down His will," stop searching and simply talk to Him. He knows where you are, and He knows exactly where you need to go. No roadmap could promise more.

He encourages you to share your heart with God, but also directs you to pay attention to what the Father is teaching you.

Obeying the Lord may not be easy or popular, but you can have peace no other way. So stand firm in Him and trust that He will be your place of rest.
