Knowing this, you can be proactive and send people good vibes and lots of love in advance. Doing this changes the vibe before you run into negativity.

Once you start to trust your vibes, you begin to realize that we are more than physical beings who are separate from one another and limited to physical space and time. Instead, you begin to understand that we are spiritual beings, and whether our ego knows it or not, we are psychically connected and communicate with one another on different energetic levels—sharing thoughts, feelings, ideas, beliefs, and information all the time. This is known as telepathy.

Telepathy is the most accessible of our six-sensory skills: Everyone is mentally talking to everyone else all the time, and everyone is tuning in. You're in telepathic chat rooms every second, whether you know it or not. If you pay attention to what crosses your mind, you'll see what I mean.

Then pause, and follow with: "My heart and inner guide say [fill in the blank] on the subject." This exercise will help you change the channel of your awareness from your mind chatter to the higher frequencies of spirit.

My favorite technique for detaching is to imagine that the world around me is a wonderful movie to learn from and enjoy, but I'm not the star of it. Just as I'd never get so lost in a film that I'd jump out of my seat and run toward the screen, I restrain myself from feeling the urge to absorb the energies around me and call them my own. Using this technique, I can observe the events around me with creative detachment.

In addition, careless and profane speech is debilitating over time to a sensitive, intuitive being because it creates a dissonant, negative vibration. Swearing excessively or using vulgar language, especially in place of actual words, disturbs the soul. Although it may seem harmless, using this kind of language erodes your light body and seriously lowers your vibration.

The ego is subjective so does not convey accurate information. Drawing from its biased, limited, and more often than not incorrect conclusions, it can distort reality and can even lie about what is actually happening. Ultimately, the ego never feels good enough, smart enough, strong enough, sexy enough, or enough of anything to truly relax and let the world in.
