Biblical prophecies of the coming Antichrist and the Muslim predictions of the coming Mahdi have an eerie overlap: a.) Both the Biblically-prophesied Antichrist and the Muslim-predicted Mahdi are to be religious and governmental leaders, who lead military campaigns, in an attempt to conquer the nations of the earth, and commence a new world order;

d.) Both the Biblically-prophesied Antichrist and the Muslim-predicted Mahdi will change the laws and the times (calendars); e.) Both the Biblically-prophesied Antichrist and the Muslim-predicted Mahdi will make a peace treaty with Israel for precisely seven years; and f.) The Biblically-prophesied Antichrist will go to Jerusalem and rule from Israel's Temple, just as the Muslim-predicted Mahdi will establish the Islamic Caliphate from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

The Biblical prophecy and the Muslim prediction each forecasting that the final end times leader will change the laws and the times, is telling. Muslims have their Hijra calendar, based on the career of Muhammad, which has twelve purely lunar months with Friday being its sacred day of prayer and a day for sermons at the mosque. Muslims believe that the Hijra calendar is mandatory for all to observe.

Jews and Hindus have their own calendar, but have never shown any inclination to impose their calendar on others. A Muslim Antichrist will demand that each nation, coming under Islam, must adopt the Hijra calendar. Thus, the Muslim Mahdi will have a reason to do what the Bible says the Antichrist will do—change the times.

At least two facts may be deduced from these verses: The merchants of the world would require a deep water port in which to bring the world's goods for purchase and consumption by the residents of this great nation. Neither Iraq nor Vatican City have deep water ports. A restored Iraq cannot be the nation contemplated in these prophetic scriptures, nor the Catholic Church, but the description is quite apt when applied to port-heavy America.

Muslim literature and Muslims today also predict that Jesus will return to the earth at the time of what they call the "Last Day," a man whom their prophecies refer to as Isa al-Masih – Jesus the Messiah. But, the similarities end there! Muslims say that upon His return

a.) Jesus will deny that He ever claimed to be the Son of God; b.) Jesus will "espouse the cause of the Mahdi" and will "follow him"; c.) Jesus will serve "Allah Almighty"; and d.) Jesus will slaughter those on the earth who remain faithful to His words in the Bible.

Clearly, He tells His own, Christians and Jews, to flee from the rich, powerful nation he calls the Daughter of Babylon, in order to preserve their lives from the coming destruction that the nation will have invited upon itself.

This centuries old division in Islam is prophetically important. The prophet Daniel provides prophetic details as to the final or fourth great world empire. A major prophecy is that the fourth empire is in two manifestations–first the iron legs (Roman Empire – which beginning in the 3rd Century AD was led by two Emperors – East and West – hence the two legs of the prophecy) and then the two iron and clay feet (Revived Roman Empire).

Daniel also prophesied that the Fourth World Empire "will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it". (Daniel 7:23).

Whether one believes that the rapture will come before, during, or after the tribulation is not at issue, because the need to escape from America will come well before the Antichrist, the tribulation and the rapture.

It is no coincidence that Ezekiel, writing centuries before Muhammad was even born, listed as the future invading nations, only nations that today are Muslim, or have large numbers of Muslim residents, such as Russia. There are no Western European nations included in Ezekiel's list of invaders.

America, the formerly great missionary nation, is no longer viewed as holding a golden cup used of the Lord, but by the time of its fall, instead, will be seen in this manner: "For all the nations have drunk the maddening wine of her adulteries. The kings of the earth committed adultery with her." (Revelation 18:3

If the forgoing identity clues are not convincing that America is the future, prophesied Daughter of Babylon, consider a thought Paul gave us in Philippians 3:15b: "And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you." Prayerfully ask Him to reveal his meaning in these verses, for, "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him". (James 1:5)

The three future occurrences that scripture tells us we should be expecting and watching for are: 1.) Israel will truly be "at peace" for the first time since its founding in 1948; 2.) The Daughter of Babylon will severely persecute many of God's people; 3.) The Daughter of Babylon will betray Israel, by not coming to its defense when a Russian-Muslim coalition invasion of Israel occurs, causing many in Israel to die.

Though all three are prophesied to occur, of these three, only one is stated in scripture as the reason for the destruction of the Daughter of Babylon. The common link between the second and third listed future occurrences, is a precious liquid, i.e., human blood, the shedding of innocent human blood.

China is shown as an invading army of two hundred million (Rev. 9:16 and 16:12–"the Kings of the east"). When Revelation was written, the total population of the world was only a fraction then, of the number of soldiers in this prophesied future mega-army. No other nation in the world then, or for that matter now, could mount such an army, except China's reserve armies today.

The stark reality is that the early days of the final end times prophesied in the Bible have already begun. Most of us don't have a clue that we are now living in the beginning of the last days, which will be completed by a final world war that will end human history.

America's role appears to come to an abrupt end before the final years of the end times. Surprising as it may seem to some, the Author of the Word has provided to us a great deal of detail about the United States of America in the end times. Frankly, that's what we would expect from the Creator of the Universe. Daniel described God, as "the revealer of mysteries" and "a God in heaven who reveals mysteries" (Daniel 2:28 and 29).

This peace treaty, which will be broken as Russia and the listed Muslim nations invade and attempt to annihilate Israel, is not the later peace treaty that Daniel prophesied (Daniel 9:27) will be signed by the Antichrist with Israel. The second end times peace treaty will be broken by the Antichrist during the Tribulation.

Scripture prophesies that Russia and Iran will invade Israel. Thus, strengthening Russia and Iran's military standing in the region advances the fulfillment of Ezekiel's prophecies (Ezekiel 38 and 39). The decision, which does not favor Israel's security, must be seen as another indication of an emerging anti-Israeli American foreign policy.

What we do have reason to believe, though, is that Israel's only earthly defender will abandon her, that it will betray Israel and that it will NOT come to Israel's defense in the face of this mighty invading army.
