I miss Best Yes opportunities sometimes because I simply don't know they're part of the equation. I get all twisted up in making the decision to check either the Yes or No box, not realizing there is a third box that reads Best Yes.

I don't have to be defined as one barely hanging on in survival mode. I can be a mom who thrives and lives and loves the great adventure I've been called to.

They were everyday choices to honor God right where I was: spending time in God's Word even when the items on my to-do list seemed more urgent. Getting filled with Him first so I could love and give and serve out of an overflow rather than relying on my own strength.

God loves us too much to answer our prayers in any other way than the right way. And He loves us too much to answer our prayers at any other time than the right time.

Dear Lord, please help me pause and allow the Holy Spirit to intervene when I want to react in ways that don't glorify You. Even when I'm caught off guard, may Your love and patience be the spillover from my heart. In Jesus' name, amen.
