Whatever condition you may find yourself in today or any other day of your life, God's invitation is "Come!" His invitation does not require us to be in any particular condition to meet with Him. If we have been good or bad, happy or sad, glad or mad, the invitation is still simply "come.

God's purpose for us and our minds is that we learn to live with a positive attitude. No matter what our circumstances, our minds belong to us and no one can do our thinking for us if we don't let them. I encourage you to be passionate about being positive. A positive attitude lifts us above our circumstances and enables us to have peace in the midst of the storm and to have joy when there is no visible reason to rejoice.

First we must understand that when God calls us to do something, we should not say that we cannot do it. If God says we can, then we can! So often we speak out of our insecurities, or we verbalize what others have previously said about us, or what the devil has told us.

Trust in Him Think about an area in your life that you are making progress in. Don't focus on how far you have to go to reach your goal, but celebrate how far you have already come. Remember, God's celebrating as a proud parent every step you make—you can trust He's excited for you!

What we make happen for someone else, God will make happen for us. Do you sometimes find yourself wishing you had more encouragement, maybe from your family or friends or boss? But how often do you encourage others? If you're not sure, then make an extra effort right away. You can be the channel that God uses to keep someone confidently pressing toward success rather than giving up.

Encouraging someone and speaking truth into someone's life when God asks you to do so are healthy and wonderful things—but it's never right to make a quick, dismissive judgment. Our judgments based on external appearances don't have all the information and wisdom that

love always believes the best; it is positive and filled with faith and hope.

When we keep our eyes on our problems, we feel defeated and discouraged (see Numbers 13:31–32), but when we realize God is bigger than our problems, we can experience victory.
