Quotes About Human nature

I think the worst woman that ever existed would have made a man of very passable reputation - they are all better than us and their faults such as they are must originate with ourselves.
~ Lord Byron
I've learned a lot about women. I think I've learned exactly how the fall of man occured in the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden, and Adam said one day, Wow, Eve, here we are, at one with nature, at one with God, we'll never age, we'll never die, and all our dreams come true the instant that we have them. And Eve said, Yeah... it's just not enough is it?
~ Bill Hicks
Man knows so little about his fellows. In his eyes all men or women act upon what he believes would motivate him if he were mad enough to do what that other man or woman is doing.
~ William Faulkner
Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we learned here.
~ Erich Fromm
Love struggles to survive because of the attitudes and egos that man involves in the process.

Sometimes we do most things out of respect. But others will think otherwise. On the other hand, respect is earned. Trust has to be earned and easily broken too. We are only HUMAN after all. Only GOD can judge us the things we do, for what we need/have done. God is all so forgiving. Why can't humans do that too. There's this saying, try stepping in my shoes and walking/wheeling a mile. You'll see how hard it is to hold back tears and fake a smile.

No matter how beautifully you behave with people around you. They will LOVE you according to their need and mood.

The consequence of this is that I'm always finding humans at their best and worst. I see their ugly and their beauty, and I wonder how the same thing can be both. (Death)
~ Markus Zusak
Maybe I'm afraid that if I could do otherwise I would gradually cease to be a human being, and would soon be creeping about, dirty and stinking, emitting incomprehensible noises. Not that I'm afraid of becoming an animal. That wouldn't be too bad, but a human being can never become just an animal; he plunges beyond, into the abyss.
~ Unknown
Ein Mensch kann niemals Tier werden, er stürzt am Tier vorbei in den Abgrund

We should expect the best and the worst of mankind, as from the weather.†

Most of us grew up speaking a language that encourages us to label, compare, demand, and pronounce judgments rather than to be aware of what we are feeling and needing. I believe life-alienating communication is rooted in views of human nature that have exerted their influence for several centuries. These views stress humans' innate evil and deficiency, and a need for education to control our inherently undesirable nature.
~ Marshall B. Rosenberg
Humans have these notions of power, control, hierarchy, greed, anger, envy, lust, etc. It really is quite bizarre where these tendencies lead us. We have human billionaires on planet earth who choose to gather more and more wealth at the expense of everyone else. But why? Once all of a person's human needs have been supplied, to unimaginable levels of luxury, what is the point of having more? To have power and control over other humans?
~ Unknown
I have never met a man who wanted to be bad," writes George MacLeod. "The mystery of man is that he is bad when he wants to be good.
~ Unknown
Being a human means accepting promises from other people and trusting that other people will be good to you. When that is too much to bear, it is always possible to retreat into the thought, "I'll live for my own comfort, for my own revenge, for my own anger, and I just won't be a member of society anymore." That really means, "I won't be a human being anymore.
~ Martha Nussbaum
Yeah, good luck with that. Trying to get humans not to touch dangerous things was a full-time job.)
~ Martha Wells
I hate it when humans and augmented humans ruin things for no reason. Maybe because I was a thing before I was a person and if I'm not careful I could be a thing again.)
~ Martha Wells
~ Martha Wells
To err is human; to blame it on the other guy is even more human. —Bob Goddard

How foolish it was of Christ to purchase for us at the price of his shed blood the Spirit we did not need, in order that we might be given a facility in keeping the commandments, who we already have one by nature.
~ Martin Luther
Der freie Wille sei zu nichts fähig außer zum Sündigen.
~ Martin Luther
Hence it is great wisdom to know that we are nothing but sin, so that we do not think of sin as lightly as do the pope's theologians, who define sin as "anything said, done, or thought against the Law of God." Define sin, rather, on the basis of this psalm, as all that is born of father and mother, before a man is old enough to say, do, or think anything.
~ Martin Luther
The truth is, I am all sin.
~ Martin Luther
First, self-love is already present in all people. Second, if God had wanted to command you to love yourself, he would have said, "You should love yourself and your neighbor as yourself." But he said instead, "Love your neighbor as yourself." In other words, "as yourself " means the way you already love yourself, without a commandment to do so.
~ Martin Luther
