If I can be honest, the real problem with the gap in my countertop was my own pride. It's a sign of imperfection, and I don't like my imperfections to show. Lord, please set my heart free from these prideful tendencies.

Honesty isn't trying to hurt me. It's trying to heal me.

And honestly, I'm tired of knowing I have issues but having no clue how to rein them in on a given day. I need something simple. A quick reality check I can remember in the midst of the everyday messies.
