So Pilate sentenced that their demand be met.

A great number of people followed Him, including women who kept mourning and wailing for Him.

And when all the people who had gathered for this spectacle saw what had happened, they returned home beating their breasts.

So Johnís disciples came to him and said, “Look, Rabbi, the One who was with you beyond the Jordan, the One you testified about—He is baptizing, and everyone is going to Him.”

But the man who was healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had slipped away while the crowd was there.

A large crowd followed Him because they saw the signs He was performing on the sick.
