The Bible is very clear that in the last days men will be "lovers of themselves" (2 Tim. 3:2).
~ John Bevere
A great book that claimed that the end of the world, based on a close examination of the Bible, would occur in 1783, had largely retreated into madness, refusing to believe that the present date was any later than 1782, for to do so would be to admit that its contents were wrong and that its existence therefore had no purpose beyond that of a mere curiosity.
~ John Connolly
People who expect the world to end very soon, and are planning on being raptured out of it, are not likely to be concerned about dominion over the earth, nor the application of God's law to the whole of life. Moreover, if such people believe, as they do, that Satan rules the world, they will regard their responsibilities to the world as negligible, and the world as something to escape from.
~ Rousas John Rushdoony
Sok szó esik az emberek között arról, hogy némely fanatikusok szerint elközelgett a világ vége, és a jöv? kedden lesz a napja. Bármikor lesz is, készítsen fel arra valamennyiünket a jó Isten.
~ Samuel Pepys
In fact they were initially sublimely indifferent to politics altogether, since they believed the world was going to end soon and that what mattered was preparing oneself for the immediate return of the Lord Jesus and an apocalyptic final judgement. Their core values focused around a personal (interior) relationship with God and holiness,

You probably like discernment websites run from caves deep in the woods; the words illuminati, Armageddon, last days, and one-world order; not having any fun; trying to connect current events to the book of Daniel; and sketching out an end times chart on an ammo box while your wife churns butter and your kids save up enough money to run away from home.
~ Mark Driscoll
The name of Nebuchadnezzar is used by Jeremiah in Chapter 50 (50:17) and in Chapter 51 (51:34). The use of the name might cause some to initially think Jeremiah's use of the ancient name in these two end times chapters may mean they are really about the Babylon in the future. Like a good mystery, though, both references to Nebuchadnezzar are included in statements about how Israel had been attacked in the past. Historically true.

Major world events have occurred in the last 60 plus years that should give any person cause to seriously ponder Biblical end times prophecies. The most important, which we have already examined, is the re-birth of the nation of Israel in 1948 back in its original land. In spite of the good intentions of a lot of good people, to find the end times in their times, it was just not going to happen until the Fig Tree of Israel re-budded, which it miraculously did in the middle of the last century.
~ John Price
Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39 God reveals to Israel eye-opening details about a future major invasion of Israel, after Israel's return to the land and re-establishment as a nation. The first end times peace treaty, like all of Israel's prior peace agreements, will be broken. Ezekiel reveals to us a number of specifics as to how Israel's first end times peace treaty will be breached. He even lists the identities of the nations that will seek to conquer, kill and destroy Israel.

When God revealed through Daniel (Daniel 2), that there would be four world empires, with the fourth empire coming in two phases, the last in the end times, He made no mention of the "hammer of the whole earth" reigning at the same time as the revived Roman Empire. Not there.
~ John Price
The Bible also affirms that in the end times God's people will be martyred by beheading. "And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands." (Revelation 20:4)
~ John Price
God's people will be martyred by beheading. "And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands." (Revelation 20:4)

Some commentators have wrapped the Russian/Muslim invasion into the final battle at Armageddon. That's easy to do because both are end times battles and both take place in and near Israel. However, a close analysis shows us that these are two distinctly different end times events.

Sadly, though, America's role appears to come to an abrupt end before the final years of the end times.

IDENTITY CLUE 11: WHERE THE NATIONS GATHER "…and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him" (Jeremiah 51:44c – KJV) "…and the nations will no longer stream to him" (Jeremiah 51:44c – NAS) In either translation, the identity clue verse says that before the fall of the Daughter of Babylon the nations of the world "flow together", "stream to" this end times nation.
~ John Price
The Biblical prophecy and the Muslim prediction each forecasting that the final end times leader will change the laws and the times, is telling. Muslims have their Hijra calendar, based on the career of Muhammad, which has twelve purely lunar months with Friday being its sacred day of prayer and a day for sermons at the mosque. Muslims believe that the Hijra calendar is mandatory for all to observe.

In the end times God will allow a rebellion against Himself led by Satan's man, the Antichrist, a/k/a the Mahdi. In His infinite wisdom, planning, and perfect timing, God will allow mankind to bring an end to the present age, which will lead to the millennium, a thousand years in which Jesus Christ will rule and reign from the Temple in Jerusalem. For further interest in this subject, refer to Antichrist: Islam's Awaited Messiah (Joel Richardson, Winepress Publishing, 2007).
~ John Price
The conclusion we must draw is very sad and sobering, and it should serve as a loud warning to our beloved United States. Simply put, the United States will no longer be a world power in the end times. It will not be a significant enough nation to play a major role in the events of those days – that is the obvious answer." (Jerusalem: Where Empires Die, Lester Sumrall, Sumrall Publishing).
~ John Price
all of the several identity clues, this may be the saddest. Jeremiah makes a statement about the Daughter of Babylon that at first reads like a compliment: "Babylon has been a golden cup in the hand of the LORD." (Jeremiah 51:7a). The most important aspect of this verse is that it applies, in all translations, to a future end times nation in the past tense. This nation has been a golden cup in the hand of the Lord.
