It's really hard when people write nasty things about you all the time. As much as good things are said about you, it's always those one or two bad comments that really stay with you and gnaw at you. I try not to read that stuff if I can.

I had to stay off Twitter for a little bit, and I had to not read the comments or look at my at mentions because I was getting a lot of nasty comments. At the end of the day, it does get to you, and it does make me sad.

I know how nasty backlash can be on the Internet.

If someone is snarky or critical, I no longer try to "buff them up," send love, or try to explain my position. If the comment is nasty or a put-down, I just delete it. If it happens again, I simply press "ban user.

Everyone has this perception that the bloggers, they say horrible things about you and they hide behind their computers where you can't see them.
